This is always one of the most exciting moments in festival planning…
It’s time to reveal the theme for Elderflower Fields 2027!
Are you ready?
Let your imagination run wild…
TOY TOWN vs WILD WORLD!
This year, we’re inviting you to step into two very different worlds, where toys come to life, wild things roam free, and anything can happen!
First stop: Toy Town!
Remember your favourite childhood toys? Now imagine a whole town where they’ve come to life! March into a world of teddies and rag dolls, action figures and racing cars, board game bits and wind-up wonders. Think colourful characters, playful inventions, dressing-up-box classics and toys of every shape and size. Will you become a giant teddy bear, a cheeky toy monkey, a superhero figure or the mayor of Toy Town? The only limit is your imagination!
But venture beyond the town gates and you’ll discover a wilder world…
Welcome to Wild World, where nature takes centre stage and the untamed takes over! Think jungle adventures, exotic creatures, woodland spirits, colourful birds, creepy crawlies and beasts both real and imagined. Become a wild animal, a fearless explorer or a guardian of the forest. From the depths of the jungle to the heart of the woodland, wild wonders await around every corner.
So, where will you belong? Will you bring your favourite toys to life in Toy Town, or answer the call of the Wild World?
Whichever you choose, we can’t wait to see what you dream up. Expect a woodland full of imagination, creativity, colourful characters and a little bit of mischief. Start raiding those dressing-up boxes, gathering your little adventurers and dreaming up your most playful festival costumes yet!

Elderflower Fields 2027: let the games begin!
A little note from the forest…
Please think about the environment when planning your costumes. There’s no need to buy new. Upcycle what you already have, get creative with the dressing-up box or see what treasures you can find in a charity shop. The best costumes often come from the most unexpected places!
And please, please, please, no glow sticks, plastic jewels or glitter. We know they sparkle, but our forest creatures really don’t agree. Let’s keep our wild world beautiful for everyone.
