Elderflower Fields offers food and drink for every appetite and occasion. There is British, international, vegan, gluten-free, kids sizes, hot, cold, savoury and sweet. Everything is served up by friendly local businesses who are passionate about what they do. Many of our vendors return every year and have become part of the Elderflower Fields family. Here’s an idea of what your festival journey may look like. From a tummies perspective of course!
Day One
- First stop, while you’re exploring, venture to the top of Tumbledown Meadows to 800 Degrees for a pizza or to Manjula for a vegan taste sensation, after setting up camp. This will of course be followed by an icecream from Anton at nearby Rainbow Scoops.
- For the evening, stroll through the woods to the Dragonfly Bar – pitch up and listen to some music on the main stage, meet friends and grab a delicious Sri Lankan curry from Ruby or a Jerk Chicken from newcomer Chef Charles.
- The kids will soon find Zoe at Waffle on a Stick – pud sorted.
Day Two
- The Only With Love Brewcafe on Leapfrog Lawns are offering delicious Tigermoth barista coffee and drinks all day with fresh deliveries of ‘fikka’ every morning so pop along first thing and enjoy the freshly baked taste.
- Drop the kids at the prebooked Sports Camp then relax with a delicious barista coffee from nearby Solitary Bee.
- Exercise done, time for a sweet treat at Oui Creperie for all that effort, or a plate of poffertjes (mini dutch pancakes) from Little Pancake Place.
- Try something different for a late lunch – an Egyptian falafel wrap from Cairovan on Lazy Glades path or Vietnamese lemongrass chicken from Thai Angle.
- Afternoon hot drinks and smoothies from Fine Grind on Dragonfly Hill, with a couple of brownies thrown in.
- Saturday supper and a meander – Mediterranean wraps at The Devil’s Pantry or a Sussex brisket bun with dirty fries at newcomers The BBQ Project. Leave some room for some cheeky cocktails at the the Moonshine Fandango Bar and late-night dancing at the silent disco.
Day Three
- Head for breakfast amongst the trees..a delicious bircher muesli with a barista coffee at The Grey Earl (they will also be serving toasties and sandwiches) or a fabulous bacon sarnie freshly prepard by Jacob’s Ladder, both in the Lazy Glades area.
- During the day, soak up some sun on Leapfrog Lawns with a sneaky G&T from Scott at The Little Langton horsebox bar or a fresh fruit lolly from Lickalix.
- For lunch, why not try a gourmet Mac N Cheese or more traditional bolognese at Dirty Mac’s or pop down to Pure Brunch Box for a spicy empanada with a health side salad.
- Mid afternoon treat,visit Mary at Wild Tea Cafe in the woods for some foraged teas served in vintage china, or pop to Leapfrog Lawns to have an ice cream with Betty the van at Vintage Scoops.
- Later, a Pizza Wagon dinner for everyone before heading over to some entertainment at Wow Pow and a craft beer or kombucha at the Only With Love Brewcafe.
Day Four
- Grab an early morning organic coffee and pastry in the family camping field from Tom at Whirled Espresso
- Or pedal your way to your breakfast smoothie with Jon at Juice Up, get in early to avoid the queue!
- Jackson’s General Store are on-site all weekend for camping essentials offering the chance to stock up on a few bits you’ve run out of, such as bread and milk. They also have a sweet shop and candy floss stall for pocket money and journey-home treats.
