A Message from Nigel & Maria Greenwood, Co-Founders of Elderflower Fields
Over 20 years ago, while travelling through the foothills of the Andes, Maria and I had the idea that, in collaboration with our founding friends Stuart, Anita, Dax and Suzie, would eventually become Elderflower Fields. What started as a simple dream has since flourished into something far beyond what we ever imagined.

We’re incredibly proud of the amazing community that’s developed over the past 15 years, and we’re so grateful to everyone who’s been part of the journey. Your support, enthusiasm and shared love for the festival are what make it so special.
As we look ahead to our fifteenth anniversary next year, we’re excited to celebrate this milestone with you and make it our best festival yet. We’ve been shortlisted as ‘Best Family Festival’ at the UK Festival Awards, and it would be wonderful to enter 2026 as winners.
Looking further into the future, our fabulous festival team are full of ideas for how Elderflower Fields can grow and evolve over the next 15 years and for generations to come. We want to build on everything we’ve achieved and continue investing in the festival to make it an even more unique and cherished part of the independent UK festival scene.
That vision opens a rare opportunity: we’d love to find a like-minded ‘Festival Friend’ to join us and be part of shaping the next chapter. If this resonates with you, we’d welcome a private chat to explore what might be possible.
Please feel free to email us at nigel@sosussex.co.uk if you’d like to start that conversation.
Thank you, as always, for being part of the Elderflower Fields story.
Warmest wishes,
Nigel & Maria Greenwood
