THE 2019 FESTIVAL THEME!
Our first ‘big family dance off’ was a huge success last year so will return in 2019 along with a brand new rivalry theme for you to join in with. We thoroughly encourage fancy dress and you should feel free to be wild and outrageous with your attire all weekend. On Sunday we invite your family to dance your socks off as part of the Insect Circus or Monsters for the Deep!
Insect Circus
Roll up, roll up! Join the marvellous menagerie of mini beasts and bugs. The weird and wonderfully entertaining insects are in town performing death-defying stunts to enthral and amaze those who look hard enough. Breakdancing beetles and beautiful ballroom dancing butterflies will flip and fly before your very eyes!
Monsters from the Deep
Delve deep into the darkest abyss to a place very few humans have ever ventured. See the mysterious blue-ringed octopus and neon vampire squids mesmerising moves. Blobfish beware – there is danger ahead! Where black dragons hunt bioluminescent prey and fang-toothed fish and goblin sharks play.
On Sunday, after our family picnic, we encourage creatures great and small, real and imaginary to join Lost & Found on Leapfrog Lawns for a battle of the beasts! Throw your shapes – no special skills required, just enthusiasm!
There will be plenty of silliness, prizes, and one lucky family will be crowned the 2019 Dance of champions and win 2020 festival tickets!
