Elderflower Fields would not be possible without all the brilliant local youth organisations that support what we do. Inspiring the next generation to try something new and igniting that first spark of interest in sport, music, art, nature, science and beyond. Here we tell the story of one of those inspiring organisations. Inspired at Elderflower Fields? Share your story hello@elderflowerfields.co.uk
Who was inspired? Youth coaches at Worthing Gymnastics

What and when inspired you?
We’re absolutely delighted to have been part of Elderflower since the very beginning. Over the years, it has become something all our young members genuinely look forward to and talk about long after the festival finishes. The opportunity to be involved in delivering the parkour activity has given so many of our young gymnasts confidence, responsibility, teamwork skills and a real sense of pride.
What did you do as a result?
At Worthing Gymnastics, we’re passionate about creating positive opportunities for young people to grow, inspire others and feel part of something bigger, so Elderflower has always felt like a perfect fit for what we stand for. What we offer is so much more than sport – it’s about adding real value to children’s lives through movement, creativity, confidence and connection.
What do you bring to Elderflower Fields?
The Elderflower Fields parkour area has been co-designed by the team over the years to be inclusive, welcoming and accessible for everyone to enjoy, regardless of age or ability.

What are you up to now?
It’s been wonderful to watch our youngsters develop not only as athletes, but as leaders and role models within such a welcoming and creative environment. And what better place to inspire adventure, imagination and community than the beautiful surroundings of Ashdown Forest.
We love hearing from past students who are now adults and have pursued further education or careers in physical activities they’ve enjoyed at Worthing Gymnastics and their time with us at Elderflower Fields.
Thank you again for recognising the impact this experience has had over the years, it really does mean a lot to us.
