Sophie Bresnahan is an up and coming author and illustrator from Brighton, who has just published her debut children’s story “The Mouse and the Mushroom Blooms”, an educational, whimsical tale with the mushroom kingdom at its centre.
The 32-page rhyming story follows a little lost mouse who doesn’t know of her own special magic, so she ventures into the forest to find it. The mushrooms, mycelium and even tiny spores help her on her journey. It’s an educational and inspirational tale about the wonder of mushrooms and finding your own place in the world.
Sophie invites you to write a little wish and post it into the mushroom postbox at the end of the storytelling too, who knows it may even come true!
